I request donations because I practice a flexible payment method for regular therapy and help. I don’t believe that people should have to pay for help to receive it, because it ultimately translates to saying that if one can’t afford therapy, then one will have to go on without it.

But every single human and living being deserves to receive the things they need, particularly when they need it urgently or crucially, and this [thing needed] is the element required to get to the next step. You can’t go on without something you need, and leaving someone to suffer and struggle is monstrous, period. Humanity as a whole, and the world, will vastly benefit if we learn to, and how to take care of each other.

Everyone deserves to get out of the abyss, and if you can’t afford to pay for it, you deserve it and likely need it even more.

As such, if you are under mental health disability, homeless (for instance living in a vehicle not by choice, which excludes, for instance, van lifers who prefer this lifestyle, people whose primary residence is an RV, etc), living with or/and being financially supported by abusive relatives, in a precarious situation where your financial livelihood hangs by a thread, live in public housing, or in hostels because you cannot afford anything else, are registered for unemployment or some other form of social financial support, etc, then help will always be free for you.

This applies to people, who, due to financial struggles, are exposed to even more vulnerabilities in other areas of their lives, and are at the risk of being exploited because of it. These demographics are all vulnerable groups, which the public eye doesn’t ever like to acknowledge because the public eye is weak and afraid of tackling real suffering.

This does not apply to you if you have regular debt but can hold down a job fine (whether that’s more or less), if you have more than one source of income, if you live with relatives or friends by choice to save, etc. The degree is measured by how your circumstances have financially affected you, and how well, in the midst of all that, you cope with capitalism. If your personal circumstances have not prevented you from joining that wheel, then this does not apply to you: if your personal circumstances make it that the very idea of getting a job is absurd because you can’t even get up in the morning, or take a shower, or clean your home, and you are skint broke because of it, then this applies to you.

For this reason, I leave it up to these people to give donations based on what they can afford, and to let how they feel about the help they receive dictate how much they feel like giving. The idea is that you donate what you can when you can, letting your own moral sense and feelings dictate that, which is optional, not compulsory, though always appreciated.
